The nuclear cardiology imaging rotation and supplemental didactic program are designed to help fellows gain competence in exercise testing and the generalized nuclear cardiology training needed to practice consultative cardiology.
Training necessary for special expertise in nuclear cardiology or to meet the requirements for NRC licensure is not routinely provided but, in accord with the overall structure of the training program, this level of training is available to fellows who have a specific and focused interest in nuclear cardiology in the context of formal training in clinical research methods.
Additional lecture material can be obtained and a research program is available that includes access to all the diagnostic imaging protocols on both sites, including the positron emission tomography in place at the Einstein campus.
