Liise-anne Pirofski, Theresa Madaline, Connie Park, and Izona Bock were among presenters featured at ID Week 2014, an annual meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA) and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS).
Dr. Pirofski, Professor of Medicine and Microbiology & Immunology, Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Selma and Dr. Jacques Mitrani Chair in Biomedical Research, delivered the Maxwell Finland lecture, "Why isn’t my patient getting better: Revisiting the disease in infectious diseases," and participated in a special symposium on Cryptococcosis, presenting "Rethinking Susceptibility to Cryptococcosis".
