- Our Fetal Care services include consultative prenatal diagnosis, focused prenatal care with planning through fetal surgery, delivery and care after birth.
- Our collaborative Fetal Care team is a well renowned group of experts that include our Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Reproductive and Medical Genetics members as well as the Children’s Hospital of Montefiore (CHAM) in order to provide the best possible care for you and your unborn baby
- Focused Gynecologic diagnostics are coordinated with care from our Gynecologic Surgery Divisions (MIGS and Gyn Onc).
Education
Our program of medical education trains physicians in ultrasonography for subspecialty board certification Maternal Fetal Medicine and Clinical Genetics.
- Post-fellowship advanced training in fetal medicine and ultrasound that provides the foundation for career development in Fetal Medicine, clinical investigation and basic science research is offered for those who choose this career path.
- AMA category one CME credits are offered to physicians, genetic counselors and sonographers that attend the bi-weekly Fetal Diagnosis Rounds and the annual Fetal Medicine symposium.
Research
- The Division is very active in clinical, basic and translational research.
- Non-invasive prenatal screening for chromosomal defects, 3D Ultrasound techniques for early screening for preeclampsia and use of endometrial aspiration at time of sonohysterography for assessment of women at risk for endometrial cancer.
