The office of admissions at Albert Einstein College of Medicine provides a rundown of steps applicants should follow to ensure your application to our M.D. program is complete.
Register to take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and complete the exam no later than September of the year prior to when you plan to matriculate in medical school. We do not accept MCAT scores older than 3 years.
Create an account with the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS), the centralized application processing service that verifies and distributes student application materials to all U.S. medical schools and review the AMCAS applicant guide.
Submit your letters of evaluation using the AMCAS Letter Service. Monitor your status in AMCAS Letters Received and make sure that the indicator is marked as “Yes” so that your application is detected as complete. When you request letters of evaluation from your current and former professors, be sure that they meet Einstein’s letter requirements.
Create an account to complete Einstein’s secondary application on our secure online applicant gateway WebAdmit.
Upload your secondary application to Einstein’s WebAdmit applicant gateway and your photo (passport sized 2x2 inch .jpg, minimum 600x600 pixels). Select the “I’m Done Uploading Documents” button to ensure that your application is detected as complete
Be sure that all supporting documents for your application are uploaded and received by Einstein no later than December 1.
Keep AMCAS up to date regarding any changes in your address, telephone, e-mail, fax, or other contact information to ensure that you receive notifications about changes in your application status.
