About the Office of Student Finance

Welcome to Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where your future is our focus. Beginning in August 2024, all matriculated M.D. students have tuition and fees covered by the David S. and Ruth L. Gottesman Scholarship Fund. Our mission is to empower you, our students, with the financial knowledge and resources necessary for your academic success at Einstein and beyond.

Our staff is available to help you manage the cost of attending medical school and to make sure you understand what resources are available to cover expenses such as housing, food, and other miscellaneous costs. Whether you're in the early stages of considering your financial options or nearing the end of your academic journey, we're here to help every step of the way.

We're committed to helping you make your dream of a medical career a financial reality. The Office of Student Finance has put together a guide with information and instructions about our student financial aid policies and procedures. You can also access information about satisfactory academic progress policy as well as our tuition refund policy for students who withdrawal. If you have questions, please make an appointment with a member of our team. We are available to discuss the following topics in one-on-one sessions:

• basic financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, preparing for future financial goals, investing for long-term growth, understanding interest rates, and banking
• types of financial aid available to M.D. students, including scholarships, grants, and loan options as well as repayment and forgiveness options
• the emotions of money, including the psychology of money, cultural approaches to money management, and how history impacts our financial dealings

Our office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.
