Professional Interests

Scott Shaffer, MD is assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Consult/Liaison Service at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, and is the deputy training director of the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Shaffer is a board member of the New York Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is also chair of the Advisory Council for the Gold Humanism Honor Society and is a member of the Arnold P Gold Foundation Board of Trustees.
