Professional Interests

Dr. Jacob Hascalovici, AKA "Dr. Jacob" earned his medical degree from Technion American Medical School in Haifa, Israel, while concurrently completing a doctorate in Neuroscience at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Computational Biology from Yeshiva University. Dr. Jacob is the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Clearing, a first-of-kind comprehensive digital healthcare platform for chronic pain suffers. Prior to co-founding Clearing, Dr. Jacob was a full-time attending Pain Neurologist at the Multidisciplinary Pain Center at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY. Dr. Jacob completed his Adult Neurology residency and Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Adult Neurology and Pain Medicine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Jacob’s interests include digital health care and telemedicine, craniofacial, musculoskeletal and geriatric pain management. He has authored more than 20 peer reviewed original research articles and book chapters, is a member of multiple pain societies and is involved in multiple ongoing clinical trials in pain management.
