Dr. Bahar Laderian is the Director of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Program at the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center and an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical expertise encompasses the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (carcinoids), neuroendocrine carcinomas, pheochromocytomas, paragangliomas, and various gastrointestinal cancers, such as colorectal, appendiceal, intestinal, anal, pancreatic, hepatocellular, cholangiocarcinoma, and gastroesophageal cancers.

Dr. Laderian earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital. She pursued her hematology/oncology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center-NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Laderian focuses on developing innovative treatments for neuroendocrine neoplasms, pheochromocytomas, paragangliomas, and gastrointestinal cancers. She collaborates with basic scientists to identify novel genomic alterations in minority populations, aiming to discover new biomarkers that could predict severe side effects from cancer treatments. Her research also examines potential racial disparities in clinical outcomes and treatment responses among Caucasian and minority patients with rare cancers. Additionally, she explores the impact of genetics on health outcomes through human population genetics studies. Dr. Laderian has authored and co-authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed cancer journals and the Journal of Internal Medicine, and she has presented her findings at national and international conferences. She also serves on the Editorial Board of OncoDaily.com.

Dr. Laderian is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. In 2019, she received the American Society of Clinical Oncology Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award. She was also the youngest member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Neuroendocrine Tumor Panel from 2022 to 2024.
