Dr. Keller is vice chair of research in the department of medicine; Dr. Southern is chief of hospital medicine; and Dr. Arora is associate professor of medicine and a hospitalist at Montefiore.

Steroid Treatment for COVID-19 Has NYC Doctors Cautiously Optimistic

Will Southern, M.D., M.S., and Shitij Arora, M.B.B.S., comment on an unpublished U.K. study that found the steroid dexamethasone helped patients with severe COVID-19, a finding consistent with their upcoming paper on steroid use in Montefiore's hospitalized patients. Dr. Southern is professor of medicine and chief of the division of hospital medicine at Einstein and Montefiore. Dr. Arora is associate professor of medicine at Einstein and an internist at Montefiore.
