CITI Program Now Available (8/1/13):
The major update to the CITI website is now complete.
CITI Program Website Downtime (7/17/13):
Starting Monday, July 29 at 11 am, the CITI Program website will be unavailable for approximately two to three days to complete a major software upgrade.
PATS Exempt/Expedited Study Deadline Approaching (1/28/13):

IRB Closure (11/20/12):
The Einstein IRB offices will be closed for Thanksgiving on Nov 22-23.

Einstein ITS plans to shut down PATS by 2:00 pm this afternoon. In the event of a power outage, PATS may go down sooner. Save regularly if you are working in PATS today.

Internet Explorer Version 9.0 (3/28/12):
Microsoft recently released Internet Explorer version 9.0. At this time PATS is not fully compatible with IE 9.0. Please do not upgrade to IE 9.0.
Biostatistics Resource (2/24/12):
The Biostatistical Consultative and Services Support Resource offers a variety of services including a Walk-In Statistics Consulting Center (Tuesdays from 3-5pm in Belfer 1006E) where researchers can drop by and receive advice about their projects from statisticians. For more information, click

Office Closure (9/28/11):

ITS believes that PATS is now stable. However, we ask that you regularly save your work in case additional problems occur and notify us immediately if you encounter any problems with PATS.

IRB Fee Reminder (11/23/10):
As announced on 7/20/10, effective 1/1/2011, the IRB fee for Private Industry research will increase from $2000 to $3000.
Reduced Staff (11/22/10):
Several members of the Einstein IRB will attend a national conference from 12/6-8. They will have limited email access and will not be able to respond to inquiries nor process submissions at the usual pace during that time period. As such, we ask that you submit priority items before 12/1 so that these items can be processed prior to the conference. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
CCI Administrative Office Closure (8/30/10):
The CCI Administrative Office will be closed on the following dates in observance of Legal and Jewish Holidays: 9/7, 9/9-10, 9/23-24, 9/30-10/1. In addition, the office will close at 3 pm on: 9/8 and 9/17.
MRRC Research (7/22/10):
New template text has been added to the consent templates for research that involves the MRRC.

Effective 1/1/2011, the IRB fee for Private Industry research will increase from $2000 to $3000.
Outgoing Specimens (5/24/10):
All investigators, clinicians and research personnel that are shipping biohazardous materials (i.e. blood and tissue specimens, radioactive materials, chemicals, etc.) must complete IATA (International Air Transport Association) certification. If you are shipping these materials without certification, the institution can be fined up to $60,000 for each offense. You can find more information about IATA certification at www.saftpak.com. Bronx CREED Translation Service Update (3/17/10):
The Bronx Center to Reduce and Eliminate Ethnic and Racial Health Disparities (Bronx CREED) and the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research announce the availability of English-to-Spanish translation by a certified translator for research-related documents, including consent forms, educational materials, and questionnaires. For investigators without external funding there will be no charges. For investigators with external funding budgeted for translation, charges, if any, will be determined on a case-by-case basis. We ask that all publications, presentations, and posters acknowledge our NIH grant for this service. The translator, Ms. Yovana Coupey, received her translation certification from the NYU School of Professional and Continuing Studies and also currently serves as Course Leader of the Medical Spanish Program.

New System Menu (12/4/08):
The System Menu has been reorganized to make it more intuitive. The menu item "New/Edit Protocol" has been renamed "Full/Expedited Applications." If you have any PATS questions or experience a bug, please use the "Report a Bug/Ask a Question" link in the Functions section of the menu.
Spanish Translation Service Available (12/4/08):
