Center for Population Cohorts Director: Robert Kaplan, Ph.D. Associate Director: Qibin Qi, Ph.D. The Center has the goal of providing resources, expertise and support to researchers across Einstein and external institutions to collaborate in the various population-based cohort studies affiliated with DEPH. Major NIH-funded studies based at Einstein include the Hispanic Community Health Study-Study of Latinos (HCHS-SOL), the Study of Latino Youth (SOL-Youth), Study of Latinos Nutrition and Physical Activity Assessment Study (SOLNAS), Women’s Health Initiative, and the Cardiovascular Substudy of the HIV Combined Cohort Study (including the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study/MACS and Women’s Interagency HIV Study/WIHS). Center faculty also have NIH-funded collaborations with cohorts external to Einstein including the Nurses’ Health Study and Health Professionals Follow-up Study (Harvard), the Framingham Heart Study (Boston University), as well as leading consortia: Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE), NHLBI Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) program, the MiBioGen consortium on the human microbiome, COnsortium of METabolomics Studies (COMETS), the Collaborative Cohort of Cohorts for COVID-19 research (C4R), the Psychiatric Genetics Consortium, the Stroke Genetics Network (SiGN) and the International Stroke Genetics Consortium (ISGC), and others.
