Weiler Electrophysiology Group Performs First Radiofreqency Catheter Ablation

On June 18, 2008, the Montefiore Einstein Division of Cardiology's east campus Electrophysiology/Arrhythmia Service, led by Eugen Palma, performed the first radiofrequency catheter ablation in its newly equipped lab.

The patient had been through a failed attempt at an atrioventricular node ablation at a different facility.

Dr. Palma was appointed Director of the Weiler Arrhythmia Service in August 2008. The Weiler Arrhythmia Service is part of the unified Arrhythmia Services of the Montefiore Einstein Heart Center, where Palma and his group provide exceptional service.
