Greenberg Appointed Interim Chief of Cardiology
Mark A. Greenberg, MD (Cardiology) has been appointed Interim Chief of Cardiology effective July 1, 2009.
Dr. Greenberg has been Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory since 1988 and bi-campus Director of Clinical Cardiology since 2005. He has done an outstanding job in both capacities.
Dr. Greenberg obtained his MD (with honors) from the University of Illinois. He was a Medicine house officer and cardiology fellow at Montefiore, and has been a faculty member at Einstein since. He is currently Professor of Clinical Medicine.
Richard Kitsis, MD, immediate past Chief of Cardiology, has stepped down from that position to assume the full-time directorship of the new Montefiore Einstein Center for Cardiovascular Research.
