Elected Representatives

The elected representative positions seek the improvement of graduate student education through active and permanent communication with governing bodies at Einstein such as the Graduate School, University Administration, Student Government, and Einstein Senate.

 

Senators (12)

Advocate on behalf of GSC at Senate meetings. Senate meetings consist of an update from the Dean as well as the Speaker of the Senate regarding the state of the school. There is also often an update by one or two other administrators/faculty with regard to issues such as: the school’s financial status, public relations, health insurance, housing, campus master plan, etc. Senators vote on various initiatives over the course of the school year.

Einstein Student Governing Board (SGB)

We work directly with the Office of Student Activities to procure funding for student clubs, distribute club budgets, and administrate club reimbursements. We also act as a liaison between the student body and the school administration.

Assembled by the Faculty Senate to identify and address concerns from all members of the Einstein community. Meet monthly and recommendations from QOL reach the administration directly.

Graduate Executive Committee (GEC)

The GEC recommends to the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs additions or changes to policies of the Graduate Division, and approves changes or additions to the Graduate Curriculum, and Qualifying Examination and Thesis Guidelines. Its members provide direct representation and feedback to and from the departments.
