Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the Montefiore Einstein Department of Medicine’s Innovation website. Our team’s efforts in the innovation space strive to build upon Montefiore Einstein’s longstanding tradition of pioneering novel treatments, cutting-edge research, and educational and community-based initiatives.
With the growing role of technology in the delivery of healthcare, our Innovation team seeks to implement digital tools that will empower patients, providers, researchers, and educators across Montefiore Einstein. Innovative technologies have great potential to improve patient engagement, as demonstrated by patient-facing mobile apps that promote the self-management of chronic conditions. Other initiatives (e.g. virtual scribes, pre-visit intake solutions, and artificial intelligence for clinical decision-support) can streamline clinical workflows and reduce documentation time, while assisting providers at the point of care.
Given the need for user-centered technologies that are helpful for patients and/or providers, we are actively seeking feedback regarding our existing projects as well as potential initiatives of interest. The innovation process is a team effort that relies on distinct perspectives, and we look forward to partnering with you. Together we can make a lasting impact for our patients, providers, and the Bronx community.
