Sapadin is Director of PA Service


September 4, 2012 - BRONX, NY - After many years of outstanding leadership, Dr. Jason Adelman stepped down as the Director of the Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) Service to concentrate on patient safety and quality at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Adelman has overseen unprecedented growth in the size of the service, which now serves the Private, Hospitalist, and Cardiology Services at the Moses Division.

Effective July 1, 2012, Michael Sapadin became the Director of the PA Service at Moses in the Division of Hospital Medicine. Mr. Sapadin completed his studies at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education as a Physician Assistant in 1987. He went on to complete his medical studies with a Master's in Physician Assistant studies, as well a certificate in Cardiology from the University of Nebraska. Over the last thirteen years, he has worked on the cardiology service in the Moses Division. For the last eight years, he has served as the Chief Physician Assistant for Internal Medicine, which is responsible for approximately 300 inpatients.

Most recently, Mr. Sapadin was awarded Montefiore's Staff and Alumni Physician Assistant Distinguished Service Award. This award is given to one PA who demonstrates compassion and care for patients, outstanding service to Montefiore Medical Center, and collegiality and rapport with fellow professionals.
