Montefiore Medical Center Wakefield CampusMarch 29, 2015 - BRONX, NY - The Montefiore Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Wakefield Campus is pleased to announce that it has filled its Categorical and Preliminary program with highly qualified candidates from leading medical schools in 14 different countries. The incoming 2015 class includes physician scientists who have conducted research with Dr. Mark Czaja, Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology & Liver Diseases) and Dr. Kevin Ferrick, Professor of Clinical Medicine (Cardiology).
Grace Kajita, MDThe three-year Wakefield residency, known for its strongly committed, seasoned faculty; accommodating, user-friendly learning environment; and innovative performance improvement initiatives, has historically drawn highly qualified applicants from around the world, and the program's numbers have risen significantly throughout the years, particularly since Montefiore acquired the former Our Lady of Mercy in 2008.
