Professional Interests

Dr. Toshiba Morgan-Joseph received both her Bachelor’s in Biology and PharmD degrees from Howard University located in Washington DC. She then completed her PGY1 residency training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center located in Manhattan, New York. Dr. Morgan-Joseph has had an array of hospital pharmacy experiences starting as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at King Edward Memorial Hospital located in Paget, Bermuda. She also worked as an outpatient pharmacist at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center located in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Morgan-Joseph joined the Montefiore Health System over 15 years ago. 

 

Dr. Morgan-Joseph's contributions has been influential in ensuring compliance for our Vaccine for Children (VFC) program in our clinics and currently manages the Hepatitis B Vaccination program for Newborn & Neonatal ICU patients. In 2011, Dr. Morgan-Joseph became the PGY1 pharmacy residency program coordinator. Later in 2013, she transitioned to Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Neonatal Intensive Care. She proves to be an integral member in several interdisciplinary neonatology committees and ensures medication safety and appropriateness in our NICU.  She has mentored over 30 pharmacy residents successfully through their completion of residency training. In 2019, Dr. Morgan-Joseph was promoted to PGY1 Residency Program Director.

Dr. Morgan Joseph is an active member of several organizations and is currently serving as a delegate and the Immediate Past-President to the Westchester County Society of Health System Pharmacists.
