Research Profiles
Professional Interests
Dr. Neginskaya's research focuses on the role of mitochondria in physiology and pathology. Specifically, Dr. Neginskaya explores the mechanisms of changes in mitochondrial ion trafficking during ischemia-reperfusion injuries in the heart and brain. In her research, Dr. Neginskaya uses a combination of state-of-the-art imaging and electrophysiological techniques.
Education and Training:
Dr. Neginskaya obtained her MSc in Physics from Southern Federal University (Russia) in 2012 and a PhD in Biophysics from the Russian Academy of Science in 2017. She conducted her postdoctoral training in mitochondrial physiology with a focus on mitochondrial permeability transition at New York University.
