Walk to Cure Lupus Staff, friends, and family of Montefiore Einstein turned out in force on October 22 for the annual “New York City Walk with Us to Cure Lupus,” sponsored by the Lupus Research Alliance. The Montefiore Einstein team, organized by Dr. Noa Schwartz, director of the Montefiore Einstein Institute for Lupus Care and Research, raised $3,653, exceeding the team’s goal of $2,500. In total, the walk raised about $730,000 to support lupus research. Rheumatology Division Chief Dr. Clement Tagoe, a speaker at the event, talked about how the Bronx community is heavily affected by lupus and Montefiore Einstein’s commitment to providing the best quality care.
