All applications for the adult residency positions must utilize the NRMP matching system. We are the university program for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the Saul Korey department of Neurology, named for our founding chair. When applying through the NRMP, our program is listed as the Montefiore Medical Center / Einstein (Bronx, NY) Neurology Program.
There are two training tracks available:
- There are five CATEGORICAL positions (NRMP Program ID 3153180C0). This is a four year program, with the first year spent completing the internal medicine requirements in the Montefiore/Einstein Medicine Program
- There are four ADVANCED positions (NRMP Program ID 3153180A0). This is a three year program, starting in the PGY-2 year. Applicants matching into this track match into and complete a PGY-1 year of an ACGME approved training program in internal medicine or the equivalent (with eight months of internal medicine) prior to starting the PGY-2 year in Neurology at Montefiore Medical Center
Should you have any questions in the application process or about our program, please contact Shari Archilla (718-430-3166). Once application screening is complete, selected applicants will be contacted by phone or e-mail to arrange a visit to the Department for interviews with our faculty, a tour of our facilities and an opportunity to meet with our residents. Note: incomplete applications will not be screened. Interviews are conducted on selected Tuesdays and Thursdays from November through January. Applicants are invited to a pre-interview dinner with our current housestaff on the Wednesday evening prior to their interview date.
