Housing at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is among the best you will find at any medical or graduate
school in the country. The on-campus apartments are large, rent is inexpensive, and security is excellent.
Located near the Westchester border in the northeast Bronx, the environment around Einstein combines the best of
two worlds: small-town living with its special sense of "community" (and lower cost of living) and easy access
to big city excitement in Manhattan.
Eastchester Road
Residence consists of three 28 story apartment buildings, a recreation center, a playground and picnicking
area, and an underground parking garage. The apartments include studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom, and 3
bedroom penthouse apartments. As an MSTP, you are guaranteed a studio that has Internet, air-conditioning, a fully
equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a dressing room, and lots of closet space. Each building has its own laundry
facilities and access to a large underground parking garage. Studios rent for around $894 per month (including
utilities and Internet) and the current cost of parking is ~$100 dollars per month.
Falk Center, just across the courtyard is the Anne & Isidore Falk Recreation Center. Here you can play
basketball, racquetball, squash, swim, run, lift weights, or workout on stairclimbers, treadmills, and bicycles.
Membership is free for MSTP students.
