Her clinical interests include providing care for complex ICU patients, critical care consults, training house staff in running Rapid Response and Cardiac Arrest Codes emphasizing communication and teamwork skills, training CCM Fellows in airway management, emergency procedures, hands on ultrasound training and multisystem bedside training to efficiently manage emergencies. She is also involved in conducting multidisciplinary in situ simulations for better patient care with other departments

In 1999, Dr. Bangar completed her medical education at B.J. Medical College in Pune, Maharashtra, India. She completed her yearlong rotating internship at Sassoon General Hospital, Pune, India in 2000 followed by a job as a Medical Officer in rural India. She then completed a three-year anesthesiology residency at B.J. Medical College in 2004. Dr. Bangar later pursued additional postgraduate training at Montefiore, completing an internal medicine residency in 2012, acting as Chief Resident in her final year, followed by a two-year critical care medicine fellowship, which she completed in 2014.

Dr. Bangar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. She is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Physicians. In 2022, she was awarded Faculty Scholar for the Harvard Macy Program for Educators in Health Professions.
