Professional Interests

Jonathan Ross MD, MS is Associate Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine. As a board-certified internist and AAHIVM HIV Specialist, he provides HIV/AIDS care as well as general medical care at Montefiore's Wakefield Ambulatory Care Center, where he also serves as site director for Montefiore's CICERO (HIV primary care) program. Dr. Ross's research focuses on understanding and reducing barriers to HIV treatment and prevention among immigrants in the U.S. as well as in sub-Saharan Africa. His work has been funded by grants from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Society of General Internal Medicine.

Prior to joining the faculty at Einstein/Montefiore, Dr. Ross received an undergraduate degree from Columbia University, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique, and obtained a medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his residency training at Montefiore in the Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine program and received a Master’s in Clinical Research Methods through the Clinical Research Training Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
