Leonidas Palaiodimos graduated summa cum laude from the combined program of the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Military Academy of Combat Support Officers in Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, Greece in 2009. He holds an M.Sc. degree in the biology and pathology of human neoplasms received summa cum laude from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Attica, Greece. He practiced primary and urgent care and CBRN defense as a military medical officer of the Hellenic Air Force until 2015 when he left the active duty holding the rank of Captain. Dr. Palaiodimos was trained in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY where he received the overall best house-staff award as a second-year resident, followed by the humanism in medicine and quality improvement and patient safety awards. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Palaiodimos worked as a hospital medicine attending at the Montefiore Medical Center from 2018 to 2020 when he assumed the roles of director of clinical research and academic hospitalist in the division of hospital medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. His interests include cardiovascular research, bedside procedures, teaching and learning from medical students and internal medicine residents.
