Professional Interests

We are focused on identifying and quantifying the connexin-dependent regulatory networks, determining the topology of critical functional genomic fabrics and their remodeling during development, progression of a disease or in response to external stimuli or medical treatments, as well as on developing mathematical models of intercellular Ca2+ signaling in complex structures.

Recently, we developed and tested the experimental protocol and the mathematical algorithm and computer software to identify the Gene Master Regulators (GMR) of cancer cells whose silencing would selectively kill the cancer cells with negligible effects on the normal cells in the tissue.
