Yehudit Y. Yuhjtman
Yehudit Y. Yuhjtman, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Instructor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Yuhjtman’s clinical focus is providing quality pediatric care and treatment as well as educating young patients and their guardians. She also works with residents and medical students on their journey to becoming physicians.<br /><br />After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Yuhjtman pursued her medical education at Ben Gurion University, Medical School for International Health, in Beersheba, Israel, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2021. She completed her pediatrics residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, in 2024.<br /><br />Dr. Yuhjtman’s research focuses on understanding the factors contributing to mental health in children with chronic diseases. She enjoys understanding resident wellness and creating programs for them to foster their meaning in medicine and other activities for resident wellness. She has been a co-investigator on several research and quality improvement projects.<br /><br />Dr. Yuhjtman is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.<br />
Mahvish Q. Rahim
<p>Mahvish Q. Rahim, MD, MS, MBA, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Rahim’s clinical focus centers on stem cell transplant and cellular therapy for patients with leukemia and sickle cell disease. She also has an interest in fertility preservation for pediatric hematology-oncology patients.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Bryn Mawr College in 2010, Dr. Rahim earned her Doctor of Medicine at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten in 2014. Following this, she earned her Master of Business Administration in health services at DeVry University Keller Graduate School of Management in 2015. Dr. Rahim then completed her pediatric residency at Charleston Area Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident in her third year. In 2021, she completed a hematology-oncology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana University School of Medicine, where she was Chief Fellow in her third year. Dr. Rahim completed her Master of Science in clinical research at Indiana University School of Medicine in the same year. She remained at this institution to complete her fourth-year stem cell transplant fellowship in 2022.</p><p>Dr. Rahim’s clinical research focuses on the side effects of stem cell transplants and quality improvement. She has shared her work through numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited lectures.</p><p>Dr. Rahim is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.</p>
Dardan Demaliaj
<p>Dardan Demaliaj, MD, MPH, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Demaliaj’s clinical focus centers on children and young adults with brain and spinal tumors. He is specifically interested in treating pediatric high-grade gliomas, expanding clinical trial offerings and utilizing personalized medicine to target patients’ tumors.</p><p>After receiving his Bachelor of Science at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2011, Dr. Demaliaj earned his Master of Public Health and his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 2017. He completed his general pediatrics internship and residency at New York University in 2020 and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in 2023. Following this, Dr. Demaliaj completed a fellowship in neuro-oncology at New York University in 2024.</p><p>Dr. Demaliaj’s research focuses on the tumor microenvironment in pediatric high-grade gliomas. He is specifically interested in understanding and targeting microglia, which are important in immune suppression and evasion in cancers of the brain. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed publications.</p><p>Dr. Demaliaj is board certified in General Pediatrics and is a member of the Society for Neuro Oncology.</p>

Dr. Shah’s clinical focus is to provide family-centered pediatric primary care, especially to children with medical complexities. </p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in genetics and public health from Rutgers University in 2017, Dr. Shah earned her Doctor of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2021. She completed her pediatrics residency at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in 2024. </p><p>Dr. Shah’s scholarly work focuses on children with medical complexity, quality improvement, resident education and narrative medicine. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. </p><p>Dr. Shah is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Michelle D. Pintea
<p>Michelle Pintea, MD, MPH, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus centers on pediatric emergency medicine.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biology from Boston College, Dr. Pintea earned her Doctor of Medicine at Trinity School of Medicine and her Master of Public Health in environmental & occupational health science at the City University of New York Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. She completed her pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/Case Western Reserve University, followed by a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital/Washington University.</p><p>Dr. Pintea’s research focuses on pediatric disaster preparedness. She has shared her work through numerous peer-reviewed publications, poster presentations and invited and oral presentations.</p><p>Dr. Pintea is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). In 2023, Dr. Pintea won the Best Project Award from AAP’s Section on Emergency Medicine Pediatric Readiness Subcommittee at the Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting.</p>
Jaya S. Isaac
Jaya Isaac, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM) and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Isaac cares for children with hypertension and various types of kidney disease and has a particular interest in neonatal nephrology. <br /><br />After earning her Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in 2017, Dr. Isaac completed her pediatrics residency at Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2021, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. Following this, she completed a pediatric nephrology fellowship at CHAM in 2024. <br /><br />Dr. Isaac’s research focuses on kidney health outcomes in people who are born prematurely. She has given national and international invited presentations and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and review articles. She is also a reviewer for scientific journals, including Pediatric Research, Clinical Nephrology and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, among others. <br /><br />Dr. Isaac is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) and the Neonatal Kidney Collaborative (NKC).<br />
Frances Shi
<p>Frances Shi, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Shi is interested in all aspects of general pediatrics, with a particular focus on supporting families through infancy and the early years. She is also involved in our Lead Poisoning Treatment and Prevention Program.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2015, Dr. Shi earned her Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 2019. She continued her medical training at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein, completing a pediatrics internship in 2020 and her pediatrics residency in 2022.</p><p>Dr. Shi’s research focuses on quality improvement, especially as it applies to patient outcomes and satisfaction.</p><p>Dr. Shi is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.</p>
Abby E. Robinson
<p>Abby Robinson, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Robinson is a general pediatrician who focuses on providing primary care for children with and without special health care needs. She is also interested in understanding the influence of socioeconomic factors on health.</p>
<p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in human biology, health and society from Cornell University in 2013, Dr. Robinson earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. She completed an internship in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2019, followed by her residency in pediatrics at the same institution in 2021.</p>
<p>Dr. Robinson’s research focuses on teaching and aims to improve the experience and education of medical students and residents. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific meetings.</p>
