John B. Amodio
<p>John Amodio, MD, FACR, is Chief, Radiology and Division Lead, Pediatric Radiology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Professor, Radiology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Amodio has 40 years of experience in pediatric imaging. His particular interest is the use of contrast ultrasound in pediatric imaging.
</p><p>After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 1976, Dr. Amodio earned his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 1980. He completed a radiology internship at Maimonides Medical Center in 1981, followed by his radiology residency at Montefiore Medical Center in 1984. In 1985, Dr. Amodio completed a pediatric radiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. </p><p>Dr. Amodio’s research is focused on the role of liver elastography across a wide spectrum of hepatic diseases. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications and he has given regional, national and international invited teachings and presentations. </p><p>Dr. Amodio is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with added qualifications in Pediatric Radiology. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Radiology and a member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology, the Association of Medical Student Educators in Radiology and the Association of University Radiologists. Dr. Amodio has been named in Castle Connolly’s “Best Doctors, New York Metro Area” since 1999.

Research efforts include the development and validation of MRI metrics for the diagnosis and follow<br />up o diseases affecting the microstructure and function of articular cartilage, bone, muscle and<br />nerves.
<p>Jenny Teresa Bencardino, MD, is Vice-Chair, Academic Affairs and Professor, Radiology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical interests focus on the imaging diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of sports-related injuries of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nerves.</p><p>In 1991, Dr. Bencardino earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. She completed her radiology residency at the Hospital of San Ignacio, Pontificia Universidad in 1995. Dr. Bencardino came to the United States as a research musculoskeletal radiology fellow at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, which was followed by a yearlong musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the same institution in 1997. She then completed residency training at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center earning her American Board of Radiology certification in 2000.</p><p>Dr. Bencardino’s research efforts include the development and validation of MRI metrics for the diagnosis and follow-up of diseases affecting the microstructure and function of articular cartilage, bone, muscle and nerves. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, poster presentations and invited lectures. Dr. Bencardino is also a peer reviewer for several scientific journals including <em>Skeletal Radiology, Radiology</em>, the <em>American Journal of Roentgenology</em> and the <em>Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging</em>. She is also co-Editor of the <em>MRI Clinics of North America</em>.</p><p>Dr. Bencardino is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of the International Skeletal Society (ISS), the Society of Skeletal Radiology (SSR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), the European College of Radiology and the American College of Radiology. She has received multiple accolades throughout her career, including the President’s Medal from the International Skeletal Society in 2013, the Honored Educator Award from the Radiological Society of North America in 2014 and the Medal of the ISS in 2023.</p>

<p>Adam Z. Fink, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Emergency Radiology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Fink’s clinical focus is on the radiologic diagnosis of acute conditions with a particular interest in abdominopelvic pathologies.</p><p>After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Yeshiva University in 2013, Dr. Fink completed his Doctor of Medicine at Montefiore Einstein in 2017. His postdoctoral training began in 2017 with an internship in internal medicine at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at Montefiore from 2018 to 2022. He then completed a fellowship in body imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2023.</p><p>Dr. Fink’s multiple published articles broadly involve emergency, abdominal, neuro and pediatric radiology.</p><p>Dr. Fink is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Emergency Radiology.</p>

Kelly A. Harkins-Squitieri
<p>Kelly A. Harkins-Squitieri, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Radiology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus includes all breast image-guided procedures, breast MRI and high-risk screening.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology in 1988 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dr. Harkins-Squitieri earned her Doctor of Medicine at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1993. She completed an internship as a transitional resident at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in 1994 and then went on to complete her residency in diagnostic radiology at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 1998, where she became Chief Resident. Following this, Dr. Harkins-Squitieri completed a women’s imaging fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2000.</p><p>Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Harkins-Squitieri’s research focus includes screening high-risk patients, tomosynthesis and breast MRI. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, presentations and abstracts. One such publication is titled “Multivariate analysis of roentgenologic characteristics and risk factors for nonpalpable carcinoma of the breast”, which is published in the <em>Journal of the American College of Surgeons</em>.</p><p>Dr. Harkins-Squitieri is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners Diplomate and the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of many professional societies and organizations, including the American College of Radiology, the Society for Breast Imaging and the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Harkins-Squitieri was named in the Top Doctors of Connecticut and earned a Doctors of Distinction Award in 2020. She also received the Dr. Papatestas Award for Breast Cancer Research.</p>
