<p>Eric G. Walter, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist specializing in reconstructive foot surgery and podiatric sports medicine. He is an Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He received his medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM).</p><p>He completed his residency at NYCPM and affiliated hospitals. Dr. Walter conducts research focused on foot surgery and outcomes analysis.</p>

<p>Harris Kaplan, DPM, is a board certified podiatrist whose clinical focus is the diagnosis and treatment of various podiatric medical conditions while educating the community on lower extremity health. He aims to create lasting relationships with patients to enhance treatment outcomes.</p><p>In 2003, Dr. Kaplan received his Bachelor of Arts in communications, with a minor in web technology at West Chester University. He then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2011. In the same year, Dr. Kaplan began a 3-year podiatric/orthopedic integrated residency at Montefiore.</p><p>Dr. Kaplan actively participated in three years of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons cadaver labs, workshops and lectures, which covered various aspects of rearfoot and forefoot surgery.</p><p>Dr. Kaplan is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. </p>

Elsinger, DPM, MPH, FACFAS, is a board certified podiatrist specializing in foot problems and injuries at Montefiore and an Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.</p><p>Dr. Elsinger received her medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at Hoboken University Medical Center, Hoboken, NJ, and her fellowship at Capital Area Health Consortium, Farmington, CT, with the following sponsoring institutions: New Britain General Hospital, New Britain, CT; Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT; Veterans Affairs Medical Center, West Haven, CT; and Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.</p><p>In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Elsinger conducts research focused on the second metatarsophalangeal joint, second toe instability and plantar plate pathology. She is very involved with teaching residents and was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the 2015 chief residents. Dr. Elsinger is fluent in German.</p>

<p>Dominic J. Catanese, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of foot disorders. In addition to serving as the Chief of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Catanese is also the Podiatric Medicine Residency Program Director at Montefiore and Montefiore Mount Vernon as well as an Assistant Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.</p><p>Dr. Catanese received his medical degree from Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey and Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, New Jersey. </p>
