Genomics Shared Resource (GSR)
The GSR offers a full range of services, from biosamples, such as blood, to handoff through assays and analyses. Personnel providing molecular cytogenetics services process biosamples to extract nucleic acids (DNA, RNA), which are then sent to the Genomics and Epigenomics personnel to perform their sequencing assays. These include a variety of single cell assays, including single cell transcriptomic assays (scRNA-seq, ± analysis of immune repertoire, cell surface proteins, CRISPR tags) and chromatin assays (scATAC-seq, scChIP-seq, scCUT&Tag. For analysis of these complex data, MECC members work directly with the GSR personnel, who provide expert bioinformatic analyses. The support of sample preparation and of clinical sequencing data analysis is directed towards delivering unique insights into the genomic information of the Bronx patient population.
