Magnetic Resonance Safety
The MRRC is responsible for ensuring the safe and appropriate use of MRI facilities. All users must comply with institutional safety policies before accessing MRI systems.
MRI environments involve strong static magnetic fields and require strict adherence to safety procedures to prevent injury or equipment damage.

Safety Training Requirements
- All users must complete MR safety training prior to facility access.
- Training includes online modules and institutional certification.
- Training compliance must be renewed periodically as required by MRRC policy.
Protocol & Study Approval
- All research studies must be approved by IRB or IACUC where applicable.
- MRRC review is required prior to scanner scheduling.
- Approval does not substitute institutional ethics approval.
User Responsibility
- Users are responsible for complying with all MR safety policies.
- Unauthorized access or unsafe behavior may result in suspension of privileges.
- All incidents must be reported immediately to MRRC staff.
