On Tuesday,October 13, the Stem Cell Institute held its first Retreat a Mohonk Mountain House, a 2-day event, consisting of talks from faculty and trainees accompanied with Keynote speaker, Prof. Rudolf Jaenisch. Dr. Jaenisch is a Member of the Whitehead Institute and Professor of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Jaenisch's career has focused on understanding epigenetic regulation of gene expression. His ground-breaking work has led to major advances in our understanding of embryonic stem cell and induced pluripotent (iPS) cells. Most recently, the Jaenisch lab has been at the forefront of developing CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome engineering. Click on the link to view entire program.
