The Children's Hospital at Montefiore is the largest teaching site for the pediatric neurology residency program. The hospital has more than 106 beds and is attached directly to the Montefiore Medical Center - Moses Division, The Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) has been recognized as one of the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report for the fourth consecutive year and was ranked in all 10 specialties in the 2011-12 U.S. News & World Report's Best Children's Hospitals rankings. CHAM was one of only two institutions in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to be ranked in all 10 medical specialties measured by U.S. News Media Group. Neurology and neurosurgery were ranked second in the New York tri-state region for 2010 and 2011.

The inpatient child neurology service includes consultation patients, child neurology service patients and the epilepsy management unit.

Residents gain experience seeing neurological disorders in the context of complex medical conditions: there are busy transplant, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, and oncology services at the CHAM, in addition to a busy Intensive Care Unit. The hospital also houses a busy interventional neuroradiology program for acute management of patients with stroke and neurovascular malformations.

Finally, the CHAM has two of the three resident continuity clinics, where residents learn to manage outpatient pediatric neurological problems across many subspecialties of child neurology.
