How to Apply Application Deadline Applications are accepted through December 1st of the year prior to matriculation. You must apply through ERAS. National Resident Matching Program The Montefiore Einstein Internal Medicine Residency Programs participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). NRMP numbers are as follows: Medicine – Three-Year Categorical Residency, 38 positions: 3153140C0++ Medicine – Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine, 10 positions: 3153140M0 Doctors of Osteopathy We accept DO candidates but they must have taken their USMLE Step 1 and preferably Step 2 by the time of application. Interviews Applicants will be considered for an interview on the basis of their overall academic record and clinical performance. There are no USMLE cut-off scores and we aim to do a holistic review of each applicant. Interviews run from November through January on a rolling basis, and are by invitation only. Every effort is made to accommodate applicants' schedules. For the application cycle 2020-2021 all interviews will be conducted virtually. Once you are accepted for an interview we will share the next steps in the process. International Applicants Applications from international medical graduates are selectively considered. A medical degree obtained within 3 years of application with evidence of continued clinical work and/or productive scholarly/research activity is required. Experience in the US medical system is not required but is preferred. ECFMG certification is not required at the time of application, but must be completed by the time of submitting a rank list. Visa Sponsorship Montefiore Medical Center sponsors J-1 and H-1B visas. For sponsorship, you must hold valid ECFMG certification by March 1st of the year you are applying for training.
