Office of Academic Support & Counseling
The office of academic support and counseling at Albert Einstein College of Medicine provides students who are matriculated in our M.D. program, Ph.D. program, or the dual M.D./Ph.D. program with a variety of support services to ease your transition to medical and graduate school and help you reach your full potential. If you have questions, please schedule an appointment to meet with a member of our team. Our staff do not have evaluative roles at Einstein and information you discuss with us remains confidential. We are available to discuss the following topics and more in one-on-one sessions:
- navigating the pre-clerkship and clerkship years of Einstein’s M.D. curriculum
- preparing for each step of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), the three-part exam required for medical licensure, also known as “the boards”
- assistance with personal statements and mock interviews for residency applications
- accessing personal counseling
- requesting accommodations as a student with a disability
We are located at 1300 Morris Park Avenue in the Belfer building, rooms 410 and 410A. Our office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
