Professional Interests
Dr. Meholli is an Academic Hospitalist and Palliative Care Physician. She is a graduate of Jacobi Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program where she also served as a Chief Resident. Dr. Meholli went on to serve as Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency at Jacobi from 2012 to 2018. She was awarded the distinguished excellence in teaching award by the Jacobi Medical Center Housestaff several years in a row.
Dr. Meholli’s main passion is teaching of medical students and residents. As an intern she won the Leo M. Davidoff Society “Outstanding Achievement in Teaching of Medical Students Award” at Einstein. Dr. Meholli served as the Medicine Sub-Internship Site Leader from 2010-2012 and Medicine Clerkship Site Leader from 2012 to 2018. Dr. Meholli completed the Montefiore-Einstein Certificate Program in Bioethics and Medical Humanities in May 2011. Since then she has served as a facilitator for the Bioethics courses at Einstein.
In 2015 Dr. Meholli was nominated by the medical students to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AOA) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was also enrolled in the Leo M. Davidoff Society of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The following year Dr. Meholli won the prestigious Samuel Rosen award for excellence in clinical teaching.
In April 2018 Dr. Meholli was appointed the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her special intersts include medical education, student wellness, learning environment and professional identity formation.
