Professional Interests

Dr. Meholli is the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a role she has held since  2018. She is committed to supporting medical students through every stage of their academic and professional development. Her work focuses on student wellness, learning environment enhancement, and professional identity formation. She brings a holistic, student-centered approach to medical education, grounded in a deep understanding of both academic and clinical training.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Meholli cultivated a rich career in academic medicine and medical education. She served as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Jacobi Medical Center from 2012 to 2018 and was recognized repeatedly with the Jacobi Housestaff Excellence in Teaching Award. Her dedication to teaching has been a central theme in her career, from receiving the Leo M. Davidoff Society “Outstanding Achievement in Teaching of Medical Students Award” as an intern, to later being elected to the Leo M. Davidoff Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) by Einstein medical students in 2015.

Dr. Meholli also served as the Medicine Sub-Internship Site Leader (2010–2012) and Medicine Clerkship Site Leader (2012–2018), further shaping medical student education at Einstein. In 2016, she received the prestigious Samuel Rosen Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching. She is also a graduate of the Montefiore-Einstein Certificate Program in Bioethics and Medical Humanities (2011) and continues to serve as a facilitator for Einstein’s Bioethics courses.

Clinically, Dr. Meholli is an Academic Hospitalist and Palliative Care Physician. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Jacobi Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident. Her career bridges the clinical, educational, and administrative realms, always with a focus on mentorship, teaching, and supporting the next generation of physicians.
