<p>Kelsey Armusewicz, PhD, is the Assistant Director of Trauma Services and the Group Attachment-Based Intervention (GABI) and the Director of Psychology Training at GABI at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Armusewicz&rsquo;s clinical expertise includes the impact of trauma on early attachment relationships and interventions to support the parent-child relationship. As the Assistant Director of GABI, Dr. Armusewicz works with parents and their children from birth through three years old, with seven sites across all five New York City boroughs. She is also actively involved in training clinical staff in the effective implementation of GABI.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from Clark University in 2011, Dr. Armusewicz earned her Master of Arts in Psychology at the New School for Social Research in 2015. She remained at this institution to earn her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology in 2020, completing a psychology internship at Nassau University Medical Center the same year. Following this, Dr. Armusewicz completed a postdoctoral fellowship in GAB at the Rose F. Kennedy Children&rsquo;s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at Montefiore Einstein.</p><p>Dr. Armusewicz&rsquo;s research focuses on the effective training and dissemination of GABI and providing quality psychotherapeutic care in community-based children&rsquo;s mental health. Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and she has shared her work through abstracts, poster presentations and national and international invited presentations.</p><p>Dr. Armusewicz is a member of the American Psychological Association.</p>

<p>Dr. Wetzler is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry overseeing population health initiatives. He is the CEO of University Behavioral Associates, a behavioral management services subsidiary of Montefiore Medical Center. In this role, he oversees behavioral health care management for Montefiore's risk business;&nbsp;care management for Montefiore's Health Home; specialized case management for substance abusers under contracts with NYC Human Resources Administration; child welfare programs under contracts with NYC Administration for Children's Services and a Regional Partnership Grant to Improve Child Welfare Outcomes Among Substance Abusers funded by US Department of Health and Human Services Children's Bureau; health care workforce development funded by a Health Professions Opportunity Grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services; a relationship education program funded by the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families; and a Practice Transformation Network for Severely Mentally Ill funded by the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Innovation. Dr. Wetzler has published widely on these topics and testified at the US House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee.</p>
