Upon arrival at the U.S. port of entry, the Research Scholar will present the following documents to the Immigration Officer: the passport, visa, and the DS-2019 Form. The Immigration Officer will return the DS-2019 Form to the Research Scholar. The Research Scholar should always keep possession of this form.
Research Scholars are admitted for "duration of status"(D/S) which is defined as the period indicated (in item 3 of) the DS-2019 Form, plus a 30 day grace period in which to depart the U.S.
