Postdoctoral Fellow – Stem Cells and Cancer

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Guo Laboratory at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Our research focuses on elucidating the role of stem cell pathways in breast cancer pathogenesis. These studies are built on our recent findings in normal and malignant breast stem cells (Cell Reports 18: 2825-2835, 2017; Cell Reports 16: 3146-3156, 2016; Cell 148: 1015-1028, 2012; Cell 133: 704-715, 2008). The research focus of these positions will be on stem cell plasticity and epigenetic regulation of mammary stem cells and cancer stem cells, as well as the interaction of cancer stem cells with tumor immune microenvironment. The project will use a wide range of genomics/epigenomics methods, CRISPR genome editing, organoid culture, and in vivo mouse models.

Our laboratory is part of Gottesman Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Research, Department of Cell Biology and Einstein Cancer Center. We are located in a state-of-the-art research building. The research will be conducted in a highly collaborative and productive environment. A successful candidate should have a strong training background in cancer biology, stem cell biology, epigenetics or immunology.
