Dear Einstein Community Members:
A key step in the implementation of the Diversity and Inclusion (D & I) Plan for Einstein was to conduct a diversity engagement and climate survey (DES). This was an opportunity for every member of our community to provide direct feedback and concrete ideas on your experience at Einstein. Participants included all students and faculty, staff and research fellows on the Einstein payroll. Einstein appointed faculty, not on Einstein’s payroll, are also included.
The diversity engagement and climate survey was administered in 2017 and 2019. We share today the results with the broader community. Dr. Nerys Benfield, our new Senior Associate Dean and the Einstein Diversity and Inclusion Council plans to utilize this information to help shape an action plan to address areas for possible improvement.
