Professional Interests
Dr. Ceresnak completed his medical education at Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School prior to completing a four-year Internal Medicine Residency program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He was recruited to Montefiore in 2009 as a hospitalist on the Physician Assistant and Teaching Services. He became the Inaugural Director of Medical Services for the Moses Campus when the Division of Hospital Medicine was formally created in 2011. He supervised a service caring for several hundred patients daily on teaching and direct care services during a period of rapid Division growth.
Dr. Ceresnak assumed his current role as Associate Chief for the Division of Hospital Medicine in 2014. His interests include hospital administration, medical economics, teaching, and quality improvement. He currently serves as the Chair of the Moses Medicine Peer Review Committee. His biggest interest continues to be recruiting and maintaining a Division recognized for high quality people who care about their colleagues, take care of themselves, teach others, and provide exceptional care to patients.
Dr. Ceresnak is presently an Assistant Professor in Medicine at Einstein and a Senior Fellow in the Society of Hospital Medicine.
