Ellen Grober, Ph.D. is Clinical Professor in the Neurology Department at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She earned a PhD in psychology from Johns Hopkins University and continued her training in cognitive psychology and neuroscience at New York University Medical School. Her scientific efforts are directed at identifying preclinical and very early dementia. Her NIA funded research has developed accurate and efficient strategies for identifying early Alzheimer’s Disease in educationally and racially diverse primary care settings.
She is implementing these strategies in a model screening and intervention program whose long term objective is to change physician’s detection and treatment practices for early dementia. Her clinical practice includes the neuropsychological assessment of seniors and forensic neuropsychological assessment of adults.
