Fatty acid quantification for carbon lengths up to C24

Short chain fatty acids, from C2, are done with propyl chloroformate (PCF) derivatization. for fatty acids with above C6, this is done using BSTFA derivation, and EI mode of GC/MS . This can be used for free fatty acids, and saponification/methyl esterification for total fatty acid composition. For examples of this module’s utility for Core customers, see:
