<p>Punita Ponda, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI, is Division Chief, Allergy and Immunology at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Ponda cares for pediatric and adult patients with allergic and immunologic diseases. Her clinical interests include IgE-mediated food allergy, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease, safety of allergen immunotherapy and atopic diseases in early life.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in 1995, Dr. Ponda earned her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 2000. She completed her pediatrics residency at North Shore/Long Island Jewish Health System, Schneider Children&rsquo;s Hospital in 2003, followed by an allergy and immunology fellowship at the same institution in 2006.</p><p>Dr. Ponda&rsquo;s research interests explore the role of the early life gut microbiome in the development of tolerance to foods and other antigens. Her research focuses on understanding the causes of allergic diseases, exploring novel management strategies and providing safer treatment options during allergen immunotherapy. Dr. Ponda has been principal investigator on many industry-sponsored clinical trials that provide access to new therapies. She has given national and international presentations and her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications as well as book chapters. She is on the editorial board for the <em>Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice</em> and <em>Annals of Allergy Asthma and Immunology</em>. She is also a reviewer for the <em>Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition</em>. Dr. Ponda has been recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer of the Year by the <em>Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology</em> and has placed in the Top 10 percent of Reviewers in the past.</p><p>Dr. Ponda is board certified in Allergy and Immunology. <p>Jenny Shliozberg, MD, is an attending physician at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is in food allergy, hereditary angioedema (HAE), asthma, rhinitis, oral allergy syndrome and chronic urticaria. She frequently conducts food and drug challenges and has cared for HIV-positive and immunodeficient patients for the last 35 years.
</p><p>After earning her Doctor of Medicine at First Pavlov Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Shliozberg continued with her postgraduate training at the same institution, completing her internship in obstetrics and gynecology followed by an ambulatory obstetrics and gynecology clinic. She later came to the United States, continuing her postgraduate training in 1984, completing a pediatric residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1987 and an allergy and immunology fellowship at Montefiore and Einstein in 1989.
</p><p>Dr. Shliozberg&rsquo;s research focus includes food allergy, HAE, chronic sporadic urticaria, study in pediatric asthma, HIV and severe combined immunodeficiency and eosinophilic esophagitis. She is principal investigator on the use of Dupixent for pediatric patients, and has a study on AIR Supra use in children. Dr. Shilozberg has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, abstracts, posters and case reports and she has presented internationally and nationally. She has trained more than 70 fellows, many residents and medical students throughout her career.

<p>Arye Rubinstein, MD, PhD, is Professor, Pediatrics and Microbiology and Immunology at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on immune disorders, including hereditary and acquired immune deficiencies, angioedema and inflammasome disorders. He has a particular interest in autoimmune and immune regulatory disorders in immunodeficiency and the associated genetic imprints.</p><p>After earning his Doctor of Medicine and Research Doctorate at the University of Bern, in Bern, Switzerland in 1962, Dr. Rubinstein completed his internship at the University of Tel Aviv in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1963. He remained there to complete a pediatrics residency in 1967 before moving back to the University of Bern to complete a pediatrics fellowship in allergy & immunology in 1969. In 1962 he became director of the bone marrow transplantation unit. In 1972, Dr. Rubinstein became a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School in the Division of Immunology for one year.</p><p>Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Rubinstein&rsquo;s research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of immune disorders and associated autoimmune diseases. He also studies treatment with Gammaglobulin and Biologicals. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and he was on the editorial boards of AIDS, the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Annals of Allergy and the Journal of Pediatrics, Russia.</p><p>Dr. Rubinstein is board certified in Pediatrics and Allergy & Immunology. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, the American College of Allergy and Immunology, the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS) and the International AIDS Society. Biography

<p>David L. Rosenstreich, MD, is Director, Allergy and Immunology and Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on allergic skin diseases, chronic sinusitis and asthma.</p><p>After obtaining his Bachelor of Science from The City College of New York in 1963, Dr. Rosenstreich earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine in 1967. He completed his residency in medicine at Einstein in 1969 before becoming a Clinical Associate at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, National Institutes of Health until 1971. Dr. Rosenstreich became a Senior Staff Associate until 1972 before moving to the National Institute of Dental Research, National Institutes of Health, where he was Senior Investigator until 1980.</p><p>Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Rosenstreich&rsquo;s research focuses on the relationship between decreased allergic capacity (immunoglobulin E deficiency) and susceptibility for developing a malignancy. His work has been published in 159 peer-reviewed papers, 64 invited articles and 4 edited books/monographs. Dr. Rosenstreich has been an editor for several scientific journals, such as the <em>Journal of Immunology, Infection</em> and <em>Immunity and Annals of Allergy, Asthma &amp; Immunology</em>.</p><p>Dr. Rosenstreich is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Physicians, the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Rosenstreich has won numerous awards for his work, including the Leo M. Davidoff Society for Excellence in Medical Education Award in 2017. He has also been listed in Best Doctors in America, <em>New York Magazine</em> Best Doctors, <em>New York Times</em> Super Doctors, <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report</em> Best Doctors and the Albert Marquis <em>Who&rsquo;s Who in the World</em> and Lifetime Achievement Award multiple times.</p>

<p>Dr. Manish Ramesh was appointed assistant professor in the Einstein/Montefiore Division of Allergy and Immunology in July 2014. He is director of the Montefiore Medical Center Food Allergy Centers in Scarsdale and the Bronx.</p>
<p>Dr. Ramesh completed fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and residency training in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center, where he was best overall resident (PGY3) in 2011.
