H&eacute;bert, Associate Professor of Pathology, is a graduate of Princeton University (A.B., <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">summa cum laude</em>) and the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (M.D.). She completed Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) residency, Cytopathology fellowship and Gynecologic Pathology fellowships, all at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She holds American Board of Pathology certification in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. She has been involved in resident education at Montefiore since her days as Education Chief Resident within the Residency Program, when she created the Resident-Faculty Mentor Program. She served as Associate Program Director for 7 years and is currently the Program Director for the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency Program at Montefiore Health System. Dr. H&eacute;bert is also dedicated to medical school education, having previously co-directed the second-year medical school Reproductive Systems course from 2012-2018. <p>Tiffany Michele H&eacute;bert, MD, is Residency Program Director, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology Site Director and Associate Professor, Pathology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. H&eacute;bert is a surgical pathologist whose clinical focus is gynecologic pathology, with specific interest in cervical cancer.</p><p>After earning her Doctor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2002, Dr. H&eacute;bert completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Einstein in 2006. During this time, she was anatomic pathology chief resident for one year followed by pathology education chief resident for another two years. She was elected as a resident member of the Leo M. Davidoff society for Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students in 2006. Dr. H&eacute;bert remained at Einstein to complete a one-year cytopathology fellowship in 2007, which preceded a one-year junior attending/gynecologic pathology subspecialty training.</p><p>Dr. H&eacute;bert participates in collaborative research on gynecologic malignancies. The main focus of her work is capacity-building mentorship, training, and cervical human papillomavirus/human immunodeficiency virus (HPV)/(HIV) related disease research as part of the National Cancer Institute (NCI)-funded project, Developing Rwandan Research Capacity in Cervical Carcinoma and other AIDS malignancies. <p>Elizabeth Gurney, MD, MPH, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on complex contraception, long-acting reversible contraception and the management of unintended and abnormal pregnancy.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and biology from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gurney earned her Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in family planning at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned her Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.</p><p>Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Gurney&rsquo;s research centers on immediate postpartum long-acting reversible contraception and improving patients&rsquo; experiences during office-based family planning procedures. She is also interested in adverse childhood experiences and pain during office procedures, doula support and abortion stigma. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, articles and abstracts, and she has given national oral presentations.</p><p>Dr. Gurney is doubly board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in general Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Complex Family Planning. Dr. Atrio is the Principle Investigator for industry, grant and federally sponsored clinical investigations, including the <a href="https://www.nichd.nih.gov/research/supported/cctn&quot; target="_blank">Clinical Contraceptive Trial Network</a>. </p><p>Dr. Atrio serves on regional and national committees for professional societies and public health entities, including the New York State Department of Health, Society of Family Planning, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is dedicated to patient advocacy and the optimization of safe patient outcomes.</p>
