Dr. Tenore is a Medical Director in the Division of Substance Abuse and is a wekk known figure in this field, having published in several journals and providing education in substance abuse to local and state agencies. He is an advisor to the New York State Ofice of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and the federal Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. He is certified in Internal Medicine and by examination in Addiction Medicine and a New York State HIV Provider. His particular interests are management of cocaine and other addictions as well as providing hepatitis C and HIV treatment in the methadone clinic setting.

<p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium;">Michele St Louis received her MD from New York University School Of Medicine and completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. She completed fellowships in Developmental Disabilities and Faculty Development in the Department of Family Medicine at Montefiore. She is director of the Montefiore School Health Program and sees patients at the school-based health center in Theodore Roosevelt High School. Her clinical and research interests include health promotion and reproductive health care, including access to and satisfaction with long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) in adolescents. <p>Michelle M. Perez, MD, is the Program Director, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Perez has a clinical focus in acute respiratory distress syndrome and predictors of long-term outcomes in critically ill children.</p><p>After earning her Bachelor of Arts at Johns Hopkins University in 2010, Dr. Perez attended Tufts University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2014. She began her postgraduate training as a pediatric resident at Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai from 2014 to 2017. She then pursued a pediatric critical care fellowship at Montefiore-Einstein, completing it in 2020.</p><p>Dr. Perez’s research is focused on improving multidisciplinary education regarding responses to emergencies. She also has an interest in how socioeconomic determinants impact risk of and recovery from critical illness. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and poster presentations.</p><p>Dr. Perez is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the New York Society of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.</p>

Pan, MD, MS, is an Attending Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on pediatric gastrointestinal and liver conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, acid reflux, Helicobacter pylori gastritis, tube feeding, endoscopy, cholestasis, viral hepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis, and liver transplant. </p><p>A graduate from Soochow University School of Medicine in China in 1983, Dr. Pan received her Master of Science in Cardiac Electrophysiology from the same institute in 1989. From 1991 to 2000, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Michigan State University for 2 years and then continued gastrointestinal research at Columbia University. She completed her Pediatric residency at Long Island College Hospital in 2003, and her Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 2005.</p><p>Dr. Pan's recent research focuses on the treatment outcomes of Helicobacter pylori infection and the natural history of the hepatitis B virus infection. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, books and review articles, and she is also an active journal reviewer for multiple journals.</p><p>Dr. Pan is a member of leading professional societies including North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition.</p>
Amira Mohamed completed her medical school education in Khartoum, Sudan before moving to the United States. She completed an internal medicine residency and sub-specialized in Critical Care Medicine after which she joined Montefiore Medical Center in 2019.<br />Dr. Mohamed became involved in the medical education of both internal medicine residents and critical care medicine fellows soon after joining Montefiore and was appointed the Associate Program Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program in early 2021. She rebuilt the fellow curriculum and strengthened their involvement in non-clinical duties such as research and quality improvement. She became the Program Director in 2022.<br />Outside of medical education, Dr. Mohamed is the Associate Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the Moses campus and her research interests include vaccine effectiveness and healthcare disparities.
Amira Mohamed is an intensivist with a specific interest in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and respiratory failure. As the Associate Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the Moses campus, she is involved in multiple quality improvement projects such as ventilator liberation with spontaneous awakening and breathing trials and measures to decrease Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections.<br />As an intensivist and a clinical educator, Dr. Mohamed's focus has been on resident and fellow education. She has contributed to the recent changes in the Critical Care Curriculum with a renewed focus on research and quality improvement. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mohamed joined the ICY network in a CDC-funded study of vaccine effectiveness and has published multiple studies on this topic.
