Event Description
It is estimated that at least 300,000 individuals with Chagas disease are living in the United States. One third of patients develop severe symptoms of heart failure, thromboembolic phenomena, and life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias. Chagasic cardiomyopathy has higher morbidity and mortality rates compared with cardiomyopathies due to other causes. During this session Drs. Coyle and Marcus will give a brief overview of Chagas disease and then discuss management of some cases. They will bring their years of experience to this interactive session which you will not want to miss!
