Professional Interests
Dr. Yi Guo is the co-director of Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Montefiore Medical Center, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Buffalo at the State University of New York. She completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, New York, New York and an ASHP-accredited specialty residency in Infectious Diseases at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She is board certified in Infectious Disease pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Guo has been practiced as an antimicrobial stewardship/infectious diseases pharmacist for more than 10 years. She has several publications and abstracts on antimicrobial stewardship (antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial utilization/evaluation, antiretroviral prescribing errors-promoting medication safety) that have been presented at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Annual Infectious Diseases Society of America, and the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America Annual Scientific meetings. She is an active member of several professional organizations and is currently serving under the education committee of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, and delegate and past president (2015-2016) to the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
