<p>Miriam Schechter, MD, is Director, Medical Student Education at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is in general pediatrics, and she has multiple roles in the education and training of medical students and residents.</p><p>After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1985, Dr. Schechter attended New York University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1989. She pursued her postgraduate training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, completing her residency and chief residency in 1993.</p><p>Dr. Schechter&rsquo;s research focuses on medical student education, particularly ways to enhance clinical reasoning, problem-based learning and communication skills in pediatric settings.</p><p>Dr. Schechter has been recognized with listings in Castle Connolly Top Doctors: New York Metro Area and <em>New York Times Magazine</em>&rsquo;s New York Super Doctors. He was previously PI on two AHRQ R01 grants (R01HS24432 &amp; R01HS023608) examining multiple pediatric ambulatory healthcare-associated infections and the effects of a national quality improvement collaborative on ambulatory pediatric diagnostic errors. He is corresponding-PI on an AHRQ Learning Healthcare System training K12 grant (K12HS026396) and co-investigator on the Einstein Clinical and Translational Science Award (UL1TR001073) as co-Director of the Health Research and Implementation Core. He remained at Johns Hopkins to complete his pediatric internship and residency in 2010 and his Doctor of Philosophy in clinical investigation in 2013. <p>Suzette Oyeku, MD, MPH, is a general pediatrician and health services researcher. She is Associate Division Chief for Academic Affairs within the division of general pediatrics at CHAM. <p>Sylvia W. Lim, MD, is Associate Professor, Clinical Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Attending Physician, Children's Hospital at Montefiore. She is also the Associate Director of the Academic General Pediatrics Fellowship. Dr. Lim is a general pediatrician who has a special interest in adolescents. For the past 12 years, she has served as the Medical Director of the Teen Parenting/Teen-Toddler Program.</p><p>Dr. Lim earned a bachelor of science degree from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York, and her medical degree from New York University. She completed pediatric residency and General Academic Pediatrics Fellowship at New York University Medical Center.</p><p>Dr. Lim's areas of research include adolescent reproductive health, sexually transmitted diseases, and adolescent mental health. She is a clinical and research mentor to medical students and residents, and she served as the co-chair of the Region 2 Academic Pediatric Association for three years. Dr. Lim is a member of the Montefiore Adolescent Primary Care Initiative Steering Committee, where she helps to create policies designed to improve the quality of and access to adolescent healthcare.</p><p>Dr. Lim is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and she is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.</p>

<p>Faye Kokotos, MD, is Attending Physician at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kokotos is focused on the medical care of infants, children and adolescents.</p><p>In 1984, Dr. Kokotos received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Barnard College. She went on to attend the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, receiving her Doctor of Medicine in 1988. Her postgraduate training took place at Montefiore, starting with an internship and residency in Pediatrics from 1988 to 1991, followed by a fellowship in Ambulatory Care Pediatrics from 1991 to 1992.</p><p>Dr. Kokotos has written several book chapters and review articles.</p><p>In 2018, Dr. Kokotos was inducted into the Leo Davidoff Society for excellence in medical student education. Dr. Kokotos is board certified. She is a fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Academic Pediatric Association, the American Medical Association and the Hellenic Medical Society of New York.</p>
